Meet Nick! It’s pretty incredible that he’s going to be graduating next month. He’s a senior at a small high school, and he’s got some pretty exciting options for the future. He’s going to do amazing! I photographed Nick’s brother a few years ago when he was a high school senior. How cool is that!? You can see his brother’s session here.
Here’s more about Nick!
Tell me about graduating early.
I was kind of surprised to learn that I have more than enough credits to graduate in October! I did not take any off periods and I also accumulated credit from working a part-time job. I am looking into starting an internship in October in masonry bidding and estimation until I can start college classes next semester.
Do you have any thoughts on what you’d like to do after you graduate?
If I enjoy the internship in building estimation, I would like to think about architecture, construction management or engineering.
Tell me one thing you hope to accomplish in your senior year.
My senior year was cut short but I am motivated to finish strong and start college a semester early. I will still plan to walk with my graduating class in January and maybe go to prom.
If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?
Take advantage of opportunities when they come up and try new things. Define your own happiness and work hard. You’ll never disappoint yourself for trying.
I’m excited for you, Nick! I hope the next few weeks are special as you close out your high school years. Best wishes for your future endeavors!
