Cue the rain! Cue the umbrellas! Cue the balloons! Most importantly, cue the sweetest birthday twins in their gorgeous gowns, L&A! These adorable sisters are twins, and they’re celebrating something big; TODAY is their sweet 16th birthday. You’ve seen them here a few times before with their family. And I had the joy of giving them a session all to themselves in honor of such a fun celebration.
Honestly, we didn’t plan for rain. In fact, we tried to plan AROUND the rain. That’s not hard to do in Colorado with a little pivoting. But the rain surprised us a bit by showing up earlier than forecasted, and it couldn’t have turned out any more adorable! Their hair was already done, their dresses were ready to go, and fortunately for us, the local Target had some clear umbrellas in stock. So we made lemonade out of lemons… and I’m IN LOVE with the results.
SO, after seeing L&A’s gorgeous pictures, if you want a rain session too it may just be the most fun, and adorable session EVER! But chances are when you want it to rain it doesn’t, and when you don’t want it to rain, it does. Hence, the reality of a lemonade out of lemons kind of life. That’s just the way it is sometimes and learning to roll with it can make for a better outcome than you could have even planned.
L&A, I’m in love with your session! We had so much fun last night, and I hope your birthday today is memorable and as special as the two of you. HAPPY SWEET 16!!
